D Essinger cropped headshotDave Essinger’s fiction and essays appear in ellipsis…literature & art, Pilgrimage, Sport Literate, and elsewhere, and he’s recently received a Notable mention in The Best American Sports Writing 2014 and been shortlisted for the Caledonia Novel Award. He received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and currently teaches creative writing and edits the literary magazine Slippery Elm at the University of Findlay, in Ohio. He’s currently shopping a novel about ultrarunning.

 

 

IMG_8022Bibhu Padhi‘s poems have been published in distinguished magazines throughout India, the UK, the USA and Canada. They have been included in numerous anthologies, most recently The HarperCollins Book of English Poetry. His ninth book of poems, Midnight Diary, is due out in April 2015. He lives with his family in Bhubaneswar, India.

 

 

Val - HeadshotVal Rossman has been working as a professional artist for over 30 years. During her career she has had more than 21 one-person shows and been in numerous group shows in Philadelphia, Vermont, Delaware, New Jersey, Florida and New York. She has won several prizes, including the Award for Excellence at The State Museum of Pennsylvania, and at the Cheltenham Art Center Annual Painting Show. In addition, she has been on the faculty of Main Line Art Center for the past 20 years as a teacher of abstract art.

 

Alex_Simand-SelfAlex Simand writes nonfiction and poetry. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at Antioch University Los Angeles and moonlights as an editor for both Lunch Ticket and Prague Revue. His work has appeared in Ash & Bones, Prague Revue, and Red Fez. Alex resides in San Francisco where he makes a living as an Electrical Engineer. He doesn’t believe in the right-brain, left-brain dichotomy.

Elizabeth Demaray, artistElizabeth Demaray knits sweaters for plants, cultures lichen on the sides of skyscrapers in New York City and is currently creating The IndaPlant Project, an Act of Trans-Species Giving, which are machine intelligent robotic supports for potted-plants. forrest_self_portrait_2_oil_on_canvas_24x24_2010Born in Canada and bred in the U.S., Allen Forrest has worked in many mediums: computer graphics, theater, digital music, film, video, drawing and painting. Allen studied acting in the Columbia Pictures Talent Program in Los Angeles and digital media in art and design at Bellevue College (receiving degrees in Web Multimedia Authoring and Digital Video Production.) He currently works in Vancouver, Canada, as a graphic artist and painter. He is the winner of the Leslie Jacoby Honor for Art at San Jose State University’s Reed Magazine and his Bel Red painting series is part of the Bellevue College Foundation’s permanent art collection. Forrest’s expressive drawing and painting style is a mix of avant-garde expressionism and post-Impressionist elements reminiscent of van Gogh, creating emotion on canvas.

Ronna is also co-founder of Black Square Editions, a non-profit press for poetry and art.
