Ekaterina Vasilyeva is an independent photographer, working at the intersection of documentary and art photography. Her work has been featured in several solo and collective exhibitions throughout Russia. Vasilyeva has won numerous awards, including being selected as a finalist in Eaststreet 2’s “Street Photography from Eastern Europe,” the International Festival of Photography PHOTOVISA, and the Young Russian Photography 2013 Competition in the FotoDepartament Gallery in St. Petersburg. She was also named the Young Photographers of Russia 2012 laureate. Her work has been published in The Sun (USA), Jungle World (Germany), Civilization (China), Nevskoe vremia (St.Petersburg, Russia), Foto&Video (Moscow,Russia), and Professional Photographer (UK).
