Sarah Weir

Sarah Weir is pursuing a BFA at USC Roski School of Art and Design. A Scholastic Awards Gold and Silver Key recipient, her work has been presented at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, published in The PERCH, and is forthcoming in Griffel, The Words Faire, and Wild Roof Journal.

Artist Statement: My work examines the body as both physical and psychological space. Through distortion, concealment, performance, and shifts in scale, I explore control, vulnerability, and perception. Across media, I create images that resist fixed narrative and invite recognition through tension, ambiguity, and unease.

A Project of the Burlington Writers Workshop

Mud Season Review is an international literary journal run by members of the Burlington Writers Workshop, a free writing workshop based in Vermont. We seek to celebrate the full process of artistic creation, from inspiration to publication—welcoming into our open and collaborative community wide-ranging voices that tramp and track in the mud of human experience.

Our staff is dedicated to creating a journal that mirrors the openness of these workshops. We aim to publish strong, skillful writing from far and wide. In doing so, we seek to discover voices new to us and new to publication.
